Mr Manoj Vaghjee (Managing Director)
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Mr Manoj Vaghjee is the Managing Director of SRM since August 2003, but has been on the Board of Directors for the past 3 years. He has been involved in consulting and training for more than 12 years, having carried out and/or managed more than 45 projects. His major project fields have included ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, SA 8000 implementation, participative management models, management auditing, quality circles and TQM implementation. His role in these projects has been to establish policies, develop projects, planning, design, and reporting. He has provided advice and helped implement strategic management in several companies. He also provides advice to national and international funding agencies. Mr Vaghjee is registered as trainer with the Mauritius Qualifications Authority. Manoj is currently serving as assessor on the Environment Appeal Tribunal of Mauritius. He is also a member of the Environment Commission of AHRIM. Manoj serves on the steering committee of the GEF/SGP of the UNDP. Mr Vaghjee serves on the advisory councils of MAURITAS, University of Mauritius (Faculty of Agriculture) and the Mauritius Quality Institute.
Dr Revin Beeharry Panray (Director)
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Dr Revin Panray Beeharry is a particularly competent project team leader. He has successfully completed a number of research and consultancy projects in Mauritius, Austria, Reunion, Rodrigues, Madagascar, Zimbabwe and United States of America. As a project director, Dr Beeharry has demonstrated his ability to manage tight budgets while having his team produce coherent results in the necessary timeframe. He has served organizations like the UNDP, UNESCO and UNCTAD. He has the ability to organise and analyse data to produce coherent and accessible communications. He has strong project leadership and management skills. Dr Beeharry has wide experience in scientific and engineering project development and management including World Bank procurement procedures.
During his tenure at the University of Mauritius, Dr Beeharry successfully managed the conduct of two national surveys (2000+ respondents) on energy consumption. While serving the UNDP in Rodrigues, Dr Beeharry has conducted surveys of the agricultural community in Riviere Banane and the residents of Roche Bon Dieu. He was also responsible for the solar PV Irrigation Project in Riviere Banane as well as for the solar desalination project in Cite Papate in Rodrigues.
Dr Beeharry is presently managing a UNDP funded Rodrigues-wide survey on domestic energy savings. Dr Beeharry is also the Project Director for an IFAD funded national survey of Fishers in Mauritius and Rodrigues for the Ministry of Fisheries of the Republic of Mauritius.
Dr Beeharry is well versed in environmental impact assessment. He has carried out a number of EIA studies in Mauritius and Rodrigues. In addition Dr Beeharry is well versed in the EIA regulations of the EPA of 2002. He was a lead trainer for the Commonwealth Secretariat sponsored training course on EIA assessment for Government officials of the Indian Ocean islands.
